Gregory Knox ‘Greg’ Jones is a Senior Partner and Co-Founder of Edgewater Private Equity Funds. Jones founded the thriving online auction marketplace UBid.com, during which he served as the CEO and Chairman. Under his leadership, Greg successfully guided the company to approximately $500 million in revenue before its successful IPO. In 1999, Greg received the Ernst & Young and the KPMG Entrepreneur of the Year awards. In 2021, he received the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation Self Above Service Award.

Tell us about your professional life. Why did you choose a career in the private equity sector?

Starting as a paper boy when I was 10 years old, I learned about running a business, and collections and distributions. From this start, I obtained an MBA and began work in the private equity sector.

What is something unique you offer your clients?

The ability to find and develop opportunities to work with and enhance businesses in various sectors in the United States.
