Keep your new users attracted to your app by creating incentive activities. This could be accomplished by promoting a free giveaway if users download the app and mention it on Twitter. You must focus on engaging your existing customers and encourage them install the new app. ING Vysya launched a mobile app campaign that required their users to post a selfie on their company Facebook page.


2. Don’t Forget To Talk About It

Apps are developed every day, and people spend most of their money on advertisements and promotions to stay at the forefront. You must not forget to always promote your app through social media. If your app is mentioned in the press or in reviews, provide your followers with updates on the buzz that the app is generating.


3. Benefit From the Holidays

Run a holiday campaign dedicated to your current users. This small task can go a long way if you know how to use it correctly. The mobile app Snapchat sends its users a cool little show every holiday that entertains its users. By doing so, it created a buzz and people started hearing more about Snapchat by word of mouth.


4. Make Use of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

It is important to create at least one social media page to interact with all your users. Be very descriptive about the details that you share with your users. Make sure you know the keywords that people use when they are searching for your mobile app. Knowing this will help you obtain a higher ranking on Google, because social media websites tend rank higher than most websites when using a search engine. Make sure to share the link of your mobile app when you promote your app as this will help increase app downloads.

A great social media platform is Pinterest. This is a good site to use because it is very visual, and people can repin and share your posts. Making daily posts about your new app isn’t going to work on Pinterest. First, you must get followers, determine their interests, and create posts that will keep them engaged. Then it would be beneficial to post about how your app can benefit them and offer them helpful tips. The more you post, the better chance you have of being discovered by a search engine. Many industries have started to promote their apps by using Pinterest and Instagram.

  • Try to be entertaining instead of just promoting yourself

To increase brand recognition, you may begin by spreading positive word of mouth and thinking about the public instead of yourself. Supporting global issues will put you ahead of the game, because people will want to download your app and spotlight your good works. This marketing strategy helps the app get more downloads and views and increases app usage. It is very difficult to do this on your own, and that’s why big brands hire superior marketing companies to handle online marketing, although this doesn’t mean that you can’t make the most of what you already have and stay within your budget.
