Tip 1: Miniaturization vs. Mobilization

Designing website components smaller for mobile devices is not all that is needed; you have to apply the latest technology to mobilize your websites. Choosing between a responsive website, an adaptive website, or a mobile app is the first step to take before mobilization.

Tip 2: Pay Attention to Platform User Experience (UX)

Mobile operating system (OS) development companies like Google and Apple invested tremendous resources into studying how people use mobile devices, and develop software to match their habits. This eliminates users having to learn a new way to navigate.

Tip 3: Technical Limitations

Building something that requires advanced hardware requirements will limit your reach, since there are many basic users. To avoid this problem, it is important to recognize and understand your limitations.

Tip 4: Small Screen Considerations

Mobile website optimization does not allow lengthy content, so only place primary content and call-to-action (CTA) buttons at a thumb’s reach so users can readily access valuable information.

Tip 5: Finger-Friendly Design

After placing the main CTA properly, plan for other buttons. Every button is a target and may influence UX. Mobile UI best practices indicate that a user will comfortably fit his or her finger with a target button of about 45 to 47 pixels, and this will also enable him or her to see what he or she was pressing from the edges.

Tip 6: Intuitive Navigation

Without the assistance of a mouse, users have to navigate mobile websites intuitively. Consider how people will use your website and design it accordingly.

Tip 7: Guide First-Time Users

First-time users may not know how to navigate your mobile website. Since a mobile website looks different from a desktop version, help new users locate menus and buttons and guide them with the hand annotations most common in mobile apps.

Tip 8: Save Important Information

Through mobile purchases, buyers can save time if basic information like shipping addresses and credit card numbers are stored. A digital wallet can also be helpful. It will scan the card and capture credit card information when the user makes payments, rather than asking him or her to enter information manually. Allowing visitors to log in through other social media platforms is also beneficial.

Tip 9: Understand the Context of Use

Consider the context and circumstances in which your mobile website will be used. You can use larger icons and audio directions, but avoid auto ambiguity, especially when user circumstances differ.

Tip 10: Track and Analyze Visitor Behavior

Monitor and analyze your visitors’ behavior because errors may cause abnormal activity. Also track factors like visits, repeat visits, and the bounce rate of every page.
